Meguiar’s wash and wax soap is one of the most used wash and wax soaps that I use. I use wash and wax soaps mostly when I don’t have enough time to do a full wax. I will say it defiantly cleans the car well and it gives it a wax appearance. Granted the wax layer on the paint doesn’t last as long as an actual wax but for a quick clean and a light layer of wax it seems to bead water for about a week or so. Highly recommend this soap.

This wash and wax soap/shampoo is a good product to use in-between waxes and will help with preserving your previous wax and not strip the wax like some soaps will when prepping for wax. Meguiar’s does really good at putting tons of carnauba wax in this soap and you can definitely smell it when you are filling up your wash bucket. I personally like to use a hand mitt when washing instead of a brush just because I feel like I can get a better clean. The only thing with using a micro-fiber mitt you just have to keep it clean like using a dirt trap in a separate bucket with just water. (best-auto-detailing-tips.com) Also with this shampoo it is a PH neutral soap that means it will not strip any waxes off of your paint. That is why this soap is highly recommended for dirty vehicles and in-between waxes.

This is a picture of my truck after I washed it with this shampoo. It defiantly looks a lot better. This spring up north for us has been a very wet and muddy one and I’m glad I have got some protection on my paint now. You can really see how the wax works to make it shine!
